         Jyväskylän yliopistolle 3.3.2014 hankitun magnetoenkefalografia (MEG) -laitteen huoltoa jatketaan saman toimittajan kanssa, jolta MEG-laite on hankittu ja johon hankinnan yhteydessä tehty huoltosopimus.

         Tutkimuslaitteen toimintavarmuus on tärkeä, jotta tutkimukset toteutuvat suunnitellussa aikataulussa. Huolto ja huollon toimivuus lyhyen vasteajan sisällä (6 h kuluessa pyynnön esittämisestä) on olennainen tärkeä osa laitetoimitusta, jotta tutkimuksia voidaan tehokkaasti ja luotettavasti tehdä.

         Koska hankintayksiköllä on käytössä Elekta Instrument Ab:n toimittama hankitapäätöksessä yksilöity laite, teknisesti vaaditun kokonaisuuden pystyy tarjoamaan ainoastaan Elekta Instrument Ab hankintayksikön tekemän selvityksen perusteella.Tämä koskee erityisesti tiettyjä teknisiä ominaisuuksia (mm. signaalinkeruussa ja korjauksessa vaadittava active shielding ja sen tuki, heliumin sisäinen kierrätysjärjestelmä, spesifit-ohjelmistot), mutta tehokkuuden ja toimituksen tarvittavan nopeuden näkökulmasta koko palvelua.
