         Sähköisen valvonnan palveluratkaisusta järjestettiin vuoden 2017 aikana tarjouskilpailu, joka jouduttiin keskeyttämään. Suorahankinnan kohteena olevan palveluratkaisun sopimuksen voimassaolo päättyy 3.7.2018. Hankinnan kohde on tilaajan toiminnan kannalta kriittinen. Lainsäädäntö edellyttää, että Rikosseuraamuslaitos pystyy laittamaan täytäntöön seuraamuksia, johon liittyy sähköinen valvonta. Uuden hankintamenettelyn valmistelu on käynnistetty välittömästi sen jälkeen, kun hankinnan keskeyttämistä koskeva päätös on tehty. Uuden, käynnistetyn hankintamenettelyn perusteella ei ehditä tehdä uutta hankintapäätöstä ja hankintasopimusta sekä suorittaa palveluratkaisun toimitus- ja testaus- ja käyttöönottovaiheita ennen kuin nykyinen sopimus päättyy.
